Hi, I’m Annie, founder of Doulacta. For the past five years, I have been deeply immersed in the postpartum journey—both through my own experience as a mother of two young children and by supporting friends and other families as they transition into parenthood.

I am a Lactation Educator through UC San Diego Extension and a trained Postpartum Doula. In addition to working with families one on one, I also lead a breastfeeding support group, to provide guidance and encouragement to new parents navigating their feeding journey.

My passion is to empower families with the knowledge, care, and reassurance, so they feel confident in making the decisiones that work for them.

I truly believe that supporting new parents in the early days lays the foundation for future generations. When parents feel nurtured and empowered, they can provide their little ones with the confidence, love, and security they envision.

Welcome to Lilacs In Bloom! My name is Jackie. I am wife to an amazing firefighter, mother of 3, and Labor and Delivery nurse turned Birth and Postpartum Doula. At a very young age I fell in love with the spirituality of birth and began to understand the importance of supported maternal-child wellness during the postpartum period. As a teenager I attended various midwifery conferences and home births with my mother. Those early experiences helped shape my core values as they relate to childbirth and women’s health.

In 2009 I graduated from nursing school and immediately began a career in labor and delivery. Over the years I’ve cared for thousands of patients in labor and their babies. Throughout my career I have always strived to help women follow their instincts and intuition during their labor, delivery and beyond. Although most of my experience has been in the hospital, I chose to deliver all three of my children at home (and I was also born at home).

I believe every pregnant woman deserves a supportive, nurturing and knowledgeable guide to help them feel empowered during their labor, delivery and into that very special 4th trimester. Whether you’re planning to deliver in a hospital, birth center or at home, I would love to be that person for you. I offer a unique blend of clinical knowledge to help you understand and navigate possible medical interventions but also a keen feminine intuition to help support and guide you on a more holistic and spiritual path during your pregnancy, birth and beyond.
